Dentinal Microcracks after Root Canal Instrumentation Using Instruments Manufactured with Different NiTi Alloys and the SAF System: A Systematic Review

نویسندگان

چکیده

Aim: The aim of this systematic analysis was to assess the prevalence dentinal microcracks at various levels (3, 6, and 9 mm from apex) after using instruments made with conventional, R-Phase, M-Wire NiTi alloys SAF system. Materials Methods: Electronic searches were conducted in databases Embase, Cochrane Library, Scopus, PubMed, Web Science. To arrange search methods, “MeSH” terms and/or keywords typically associated subject paired Boolean operators “AND” “OR.” Additional on websites four separate endodontic journals. After reading titles excluding duplicates, 1000 1343 documents originally found eliminated. Upon reviewing abstracts, 310 remaining 343 experiments also Based qualifying requirements, only 13 33 articles included qualitative review. Results: All systems triggered microcracks; however, when chemo-mechanical preparation performed Self-Adjusting File (SAF) manufactured R-phase technology—K3XF Twisted Adaptive (TFA)—less these defects compared those traditional NiTi—ProTaper Universal Mtwo—and M-Wire—ProTaper Next, Reciproc, WaveOne. Conclusions: A lower observed R-phase.

Dentinal microcrack formation during root canal preparations by different NiTi rotary instruments and the self-adjusting file.

INTRODUCTION The purpose of this study was to compare dentinal microcrack formation while using hand files (HFs), 4 brands of nickel-titanium (NiTi) rotary files and the self-adjusting file. METHODS One hundred forty mandibular first molars were selected: 20 teeth were left unprepared and served as control, and the remaining 120 teeth were divided into 6 groups. HFs, HERO Shaper (HS; Micro-Me...

In Vitro Evaluation of Dentinal Microcrack Formation during Root Canal Preparations by Different Niti Systems

The purpose of this study was to compare dentinal microcrack formation while using hand ProTaper (PT), ProTaper and ProTaper Next rotary files. Forty single rooted teeth were selected. 10 teeth were left unprepared and served as control, and the remaining 30 teeth were divided into 3 groups. After preparation with the file system selected, roots were sectioned 3, 6, and 9 mm from the apex, and ...

Lack of causal relationship between dentinal microcracks and root canal preparation with reciprocation systems.

INTRODUCTION This study aimed to evaluate the frequency of dentinal microcracks observed after root canal preparation with 2 reciprocating and a conventional full-sequence rotary system using micro-computed tomographic analysis. METHODS Thirty mesial roots of mandibular molars presenting a type II Vertucci canal configuration were scanned at an isotropic resolution of 14.16 μm. The sample was...

The effects of different nickel-titanium instruments on dentinal microcrack formations during root canal preparation

OBJECTIVE The aim of the present study was to investigate the incidence of dentinal microcracks caused by different preparation techniques. MATERIALS AND METHODS 120 extracted human mandibular incisor teeth were divided into five experimental groups and one control group (n = 20): Group 1: Hand preparation with balanced force technique up to #25 K-file. Group 2: Preparation with only ProTaper...

Incidence of dentinal defects after root canal preparation: reciprocating versus rotary instrumentation.

INTRODUCTION The purpose of this study was to evaluate the incidence of dentinal defects after root canal preparation with reciprocating instruments (Reciproc and WaveOne) and rotary instruments. METHODS One hundred human central mandibular incisors were randomly assigned to 5 groups (n = 20 teeth per group). The root canals were instrumented by using the reciprocating single-file systems Rec...
